5/21/2021 Colorado Opened in the Mountains

Colorado has opened in the mountains this week. It has been over a year that things may finally be heading in the right direction as far as the new normal. The western slope areas such as Vail and Beaver Creek are expecting a busy summer. The snow melt-off has occurred around the lower elevations. The rivers are running remarkably high.

The elks are now giving birth to their calves on the mountains, so some areas do not allow people to access parts of the mountains. The bears are coming out of hibernation, it is a highly active time. The birds are coming back from their migration. It is a great time to visit.
