I went to see the weeping cherry blossom in Maruyama Park in Kyoto.
The current large trees are the second generation, and the first generation died in 1947 when the trees were 220 years old. The cherry blossoms, carefully nurtured from the first seeds, have grown into large trees that are about 80 years old now.
I wanted to see them under good weather when they were in full bloom, but it didn't come true due to the COVID-19 disaster. Today I finally got to see them and enjoyed myself!
